We would like to inform you that in April 2023 the ABCB provided an update regarding a change in the timeline for the implementation of lead free requirements. From 1 May 2026, all applicable plumbing products being installed must adhere to the lead free requirements published in the National Construction Code (NCC 2022).

As the industry prepares for the upcoming shift to Lead Free (LF) products, RWC is proactively addressing our stock of leaded brass products that will need to transition to lead free brass, as outlined in the updated ABCB WaterMark Certification Scheme Schedule of Products.

Throughout this transitional phase, we urge our customers to take steps in managing their inventory levels for all leaded brass products affected by these changes. This will help minimise the amount of remaining stock once the transition period concludes.

Please be advised that RWC will not accept any leaded brass product for credit as a result of the legislative changes to LF.
